Performing Craft (2018)

Performing Craft is co-designed with young Neurodiverse people in Dalslands, Sweden. Neurodiversity refers to neurological differences, such as Autism or brain damage, that alter a person’s perception of the world. The contents respond to this audience’s phenomenal relationship to materials.

Focusing on how materials can make us immediately feel, Performing Craft concentrates on weighted and tactile objects. These objects emphasise the present moment, unconcerned with the before or the after. They highlight the importance for any Neurodiverse, or Neurotypical person, to explore simply being.
